My year at uni is coming to a close and so is my patience for working on class assignments. I have two papers left and a few finals. I have finished working on one of my papers. My second one is still in the works - I have my name and the title. I haven't even began to study for the finals. Come to think of it...I am not even sure when my finals are. I only have a relative idea.
Now, though I have been unmotivated in my studies, I have done quite a lot of things for my portfolio. I have completed a few digital pieces, worked on traditional media, and come up with some ideas for illustrations to come. As I have begun to take art rather seriously I have decided to create my own website, where I could feature my works and talk about my painting process in further depth (for those people who would be interested). Last friday I purchased the domain (chiyok.com) and set up the hosting. The website is currently up, however, it is nowhere close to being completed. I have found out through past experience that it's better to postpone the "official" launch until all aspects of the site are put in place. I am not sure just how long it will take me to complete this project, but I will be tackling it day by day. I am still brainstorming on the organization of the site, the layout design (I was going to paint a separate piece and use it as part of the layout), and the coding. My coding skills are a bit rusty so I have a lot to catch up on.
In the meantime, feel free to visit my site (chiyok.com). Also, if you guys have helpful tips in regards to layout design, coding, organization, or affiliation, please let me know.
Thanks for reading!
